A delicious brownie with cream cheese icing! Doesn’t sound like something a Healthy Lifestyle Coach would have for breakfast right? Wrong! It is exactly what I had for breakfast the other day, along with an egg, sausage, and red pepper with a soft tortilla wrap.  Why am I sharing this with you?  What’s the point?  The point is that every now and then I need to remind people that even though I am a healthy lifestyle coach who supports clean eating (aka healthy eating) and exercise I do not eat healthy ALL the time and that is ok.  Eating healthy ALL the time is just so not me!  It NEVER was me.  I also will gladly tell you that you do not need to eat healthy ALL the time in order to have the physique that you want!  I’d rather you tell me that you eat one cupcake every single day and feel full of life rather than tell me that you eat 100% clean, exercise daily, have a six pack and feel less than fulfilled.  I don’t resonate with people doing things just to do it and feeling less than fulfilled in life.  Do what gives YOU life!

Freedom to be Fulfilled

As a matter of fact, I’m not even sure if there’s ANY choice I make that I want to feel less than fulfilled doing.  Life is just too short to live someone else’s dream or expectations.  I’m not sure why in the world I sometimes don’t question the purpose behind doing even more of the things I do.  These days I’m paying more attention to doing what feels good and right for me.  I really don’t care if it’s right for someone else.  I feel amazing when I do things that are right for me!  As long as I’m not causing blatant harm to someone else I think it’s freeing to live life on my own terms.

I am a free spirit.  The more that I am forced to fit into doing things a certain way, including my food and exercise choices, the more I feel like a caged bird.  Nothing terrible happened to me in my childhood to make me this way.  I believe I was born to live free!  We ALL are actually!  When I feel free to be ME I actually make stronger connections and have a stronger impact on those who I want to serve.

Freedom from the Norm

You probably can have a stronger impact in your life and the people in your circle too if you freed yourself from fitting into the same old box you’re used to.  Just because you’ve been doing things a certain way for years or months or weeks or days doesn’t mean you have to continue doing it that way.  If you’re ok with that way of living, then fine.  But if it’s boring, repulsive, or no longer fits you then what is the purpose behind doing it? Just to satisfy the ego?  Is that what it is?  If that’s what it is then ask yourself who it’s really serving.  If it’s serving your spirit and the greater good then you’re probably on the right path.  If not, then maybe another path or way of doing things may deliver something better and more fulfilling.

In my previous “Be More Don’t Settle” blog article I stated that it is important for me to continue living my truth.  You’re going to hear me say that over and over and over again because I need to continue to remind both myself and YOU that the norm is not necessarily designed for you and I to thrive in our purpose.  The norm is just that, the norm.  Norms change and so do we.  So, why on earth would we choose to do things the same way for years or months or days or like everybody else if it doesn’t feel right?

I’m excited to get to know you better as you evolve into the best version of yourself and live out your purpose on Earth!  So, if you believe that you can be a phenomenal women along with me then join my Nutrition 4 Busy Women Facebook group where I’ll be sharing more jewels about what it’s like to live a free and abundant life while still occasionally eating brownies with cream cheese icing for breakfast (wink, wink).

Thanks for reading!  Be selfless and share with friends who would like to know that not all healthy lifestyle coaches follow the same rules.
